TITLE: CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR UPSTREAM TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP UPDATE

1. BRIEF SCOPE OF SERVICES

The scope of Services shall include but not limited to the following:-

 The scope of the Services and project brief are described in Appendix A, and by way of summary shall include but not limited to the following and the Consultant shall ensure to achieve the same:

1. Provide an overview of Kuwait’s upstream challenges and implications for the role of technology.
2. Define approach and methodology to address the scope of Services.
3. Provide agreed set of technology related challenges, prioritized against agreed criteria
4. Provide agreed set of prioritized Project Charters and identification of potential Technology Management (TM) and Research and Development (R&D) trends and technologies.
5. Develop R&D / technology Management processes, policies and procedures.
6. Define business cases & justification for R&D / technology projects and Management and Valuation of R&D portfolios.
7. Impact of updated Technology Road Map (TRM )on KIPRC Facility detailed design.

 Consultant shall also ensure that upstream TRM will add value by analyzing the following areas for each technology areas and research platforms:

• Current state-of-the-art and the expected pace of development within a defined timeframe
• Key sources of innovation, i.e., who will be forcing the pace
• The required pace of development of KPC/KOC
• The best technology acquisition strategy for KPC/KOC
