MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR KOC FIELDS AREA ROADS NETWORK AT NORTH & WEST KUWAIT

1       Scope of Services

1.1      The Services comprises of Roads Maintenance Works and Road Construction Works and the provision of any and all work which could be reasonably deemed necessary and as described in the Contract to complete the Services or as described in detail in each Service Order.

The Services to be carried out by the Contractor shall comprise the following:

1.2       Roads Maintenance Works

1.2.1    Routine Maintenance Works:

The routine maintenance works shall include minor day-to-day maintenance work such as but not limited to Miscellaneous earthworks; Asphalt repairs; Masonry works, and Curbstone painting and road signs.

1.2.2    Measured Maintenance Works

The Contractor, as and when instructed in writing by the Superintendent’s Representative, shall carry out Measured Maintenance Works, in accordance with the Contract.

 1.2.3    Preventive Maintenance Works

The Contractor, as and when directed by the Superintendent's Representative, shall carry out preventive maintenance works such as, but not limited to Crack sealing; Flume lining; Shoulder repairs; Road marking works; Resurfacing works, Application of slurry seal for parking and other asphalt pavement areas.

1.3       Measured Construction Works

The construction works comprise survey, design, planning, supply of materials, upgrading, modification, reconstruction, testing of roads including all associated civil works. The Contractor shall carry out the Services pursuant to Service Work Orders issued by the Company.

All instructions for construction works shall be commenced on the commencement date specified in the Service Work Order issued by the Company instructing the Contractor to commence and shall be completed within the time specified therein.

 1.4 Additional Services by Service Order.Services under the Contract shall be as set forth above. Notwithstanding the Services to be performed under this Contract, Company may issue additional Services to be performed by Contractor. Additional Services will be made to Contractor by a Service Order. Contractor shall provide the Services set forth in each Service Order on such terms as shall be mutually agreed upon therein.
